The Incredible Hulks (volleyball) : ウィキペディア英語版 | The Incredible Hulks (volleyball)
The Incredible Hulks (French: Les Hulks du Incroyable) is an amateur men’s volleyball team based in Thunder Bay, Ontario Canada. They are members of the Senior Men’s League Volleyball Association of Thunder Bay. Founded in 2008 by original members Gerry Bell and Curtis Michaluk, the Hulks have played continuously since their inaugural season, representing Westfort and Westgate CV&I of Thunder Bay, Ontario. The origin of the Hulks name actually dates back to a failed attempt to use the name in the Coors Light softball league of Thunder Bay by Gerry Bell. Unable to get full agreement by his then softball team mates, the name would be forever remembered in the volleyball league. While the Hulks have always maintained a winning record, they have won zero championships and zero tournaments since 2008. == Membership ==
Besides Gerry Bell and Curtis Michaluk, there have been several long time Hulk members. Most notably setter Rob Schroder (2010 – present), middle Cody Vangel (2010 – present), and offside Taylor Kohar (2009 – present). Recent developments have also seen long time member middle Matt Broere (2009 – present) return after a two-year hiatus (2013–2015). Recent years have seen new membership granted to libero Andrew Birbillis (2013–present) and power Craig Dykstra. Middle Cary Brown has also returned to the team to be a regular member starting in 2014 after playing with the hulks in the early part of the decade.
